Walk In drive for DU/ Editor/ Quality Analyst/ Proof Reader (Medical Transcription)

Under minimal supervision, performs routine transcription work using computer equipment as well as a variety of software. Works at a sufficient rate to meet minimum productivity standards. Primarily sedentary work with continuous use of earphones, keyboard, foot control and video display terminal. Successful Quality standards must be maintained. Requires extreme accuracy, concentration and alertness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

5 to 7 activities and outcomes that require a significant amount of time and/or periodic tasks and outcomes that are critical to the job
Provide an indication of task or outcome complexity
Optional: Percentage of time spent on each task

Transcribes/edits medical (verbal) dictation to provide a permanent record of patient care. Ensure quality expectations are met of the reports that are being uploaded to hospitals.
Applies medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and English language rules to the transcribing and proofreading of medical dictation.
Recognizes, interprets and evaluations inconsistencies, discrepancies and inaccuracies in medical dictation and appropriately revises or flags them for additional handling.
Meets Productivity and Quality expectations; measured weekly.
Operates softwares effectively to complete assignments.
